The sound from the DR-05 is louder than the H2, and somewhat saturated (probably due to the volume and the bad speakers on my computer).
To your personal taste, how does sound quality compare between these two devices through decent head phones? I'm looking for a device to record classical singing. I'm this close of ordering a TASCAM and your opinion might shift the balance.
I am currently doing an in depth review of this unit and will compare it more fairly to the zoom. This was a very rough demonstration, the levels were no doubt set differently and the units limiters were on so that will have quite an impact on the sound. Should have the review up by Monday, but my initial impression is it is very good - easy to use but tweakable enough for more advanced users.
Thanks for this video.

Thanks again. I'm looking forward to that.
ReplyDeleteDid you ever post that in-depth review? I can't seem to find it.
